JAMILLA MOORE, ATTORNEY AT LAW
Since 2009, Ms. Moore has engaged in solo practice, serving carefully selected private clients in civil litigation and consumer bankruptcy. She also has served on the attorney panels for California's First and Second District Courts of Appeal. Between 1997 and 2009, as a California State Public Defender she represented condemned inmates in appellate and habeas corpus proceedings in federal district court and the California Supreme Court.
A native of Washington, D.C., before becoming an attorney Ms. Moore spent a decade working for federal and District of Columbia government agencies and in the non-profit sector as a youth leadership and employment programs manager, FOIA/Privacy Act representative and public affairs liaison.
Ms. Moore graduated from the California Western School of Law, San Diego, California, where she was a published law review author, research assistant, and student organization leader. She also holds a Masters of Public Administration from the American University, Washington, D.C. In her leisure time, among other things she enjoys gardening, travel and dogs; she is a former volunteer group exercise instructor.
